Journey Chiemsee 2010

Nature, culture and meeting other people - this is the motto of the second IP Journey of United Generations and NürnbergStift that has lead to the picturesque Lake Chiemsee.

The 2 day Journey with an inclusive overnight stay and an interesting cultural program aimed to bring two generations closer together.

The tour took place on June 26 and was organized together with the NürnbergStift and other partners. The destination was the beautiful Chiemsee located in Oberbayern (Germany).

Seniors between 60 and 85 years from the city of Nürnberg drove to Gstadt near the Chiemsee to meet 8th gaders from the Franziska-Hager-Hauptschule from the city of Prien am Chiemsee.

With the help of their tutor and members of United Generations, the students were in charge of the organisation of the tour and acted as Tour Guides of the Island for one day.

There was room for personal encounters between Seniors and students and all had great fun during the 2 day event.
