Photo Contest

Idea:

The gap between Seniors and Juniors seems to increase steadily - but we can do something about it. One of our intergenerational programs is the Photo Contest: First, participants email photos with an intergenerational twist to UG. A jury will then assess these pictures using a strict set of criteria and thereafter award the prices. We do not impose any restrictions on the pictures sent in, so please let your society inspire you! 

The only thing we ask for is that the old and the young is expressed in the picture. Our motto for the contest therefore is:

two generations
one picture
united generations

Prices:

The three best photos will be awarded with the following prices:

1. 1. Price: Digital camera
2. 2. Price: Photo carrier bag
3. 3. Price: 4GB SD Memory Card
4. The Top 10 pictures will be displayed in schools and retirement homes! (with agreement of photographer)

How to participate:

Simply submit the following information. You will then receive a detailed confirmation email outlining the further process of participation in the contest. Final date of submission is the 6th of November 2009.

Conditions of Participation

Hereby, I expressly agree, that:

• the submitted picture is photographed by myself;
• the submitted picture is photographed in 2008/2009;
• I am the sole copyright owner of the submitted picture, or I am authorized by the copyright owner;
• the submitted picture is a real photography and it is neither a photomontage nor manipulated in any way;
• no third party can claim any right on the submitted picture or object its publication;
• if I have submitted the picture on behalf of or as representative of the photographer, I am authorized by the photographer to accept the conditions of participation on his behalf and I declare, that the photographer accepts the conditions of participation.
• I agree with the publication of the submitted picture in the online gallery of the United Generations e.V. website.

If I will reach the final of the ten best pictures, I authorize United Generations e.V.:

• to use the submitted picture for a press release within the context of this photo competition;
• to project my picture during the award ceremony;
• to present my awarded picture at an exhibition within the context of this photo competition;
• to publish my awarded picture or other pictures, in consultation with United Generations e.V, in a pictorial within the context of this photo competition.
