Participate as a Junior
(approx. <20 years)
Seniors are everywhere - at the shopping mall, the cinema, biking around the neighborhood and if you´re really lucky, you might even have an older person living at your house. In fact, over the next hundred years there´ll be more seniors than ever before.
This is good news because people live longer and we all want that but the bad news is that there are less young people to go around and to spend their time with seniors, many of whom don´t have their own family and sometimes don´t have friends. Yes, seniors are everywhere, but sadly many of them are at home alone where we don´t see them. And many would enjoy getting out more for a nice walk or having a companion to talk to.
Can you see, walk and talk? Stupid question - of course you can! Well, believe it or not, these basic capabilities could be of great help to a senior. Studies have shown that many seniors have a really tough time simply shopping for groceries. Some have trouble reading the prices or ingredients, some have trouble reaching products on the higher shelves or carrying heavy bags back home.
This is just one example of the many ways you could make a big difference in an older person`s life. We would like to meet you to talk about how you can help us in our goal to bring the young and old together and make the world a better place for everyone.
